Balloon Animal Sculptures

designI AM AComment

Balloons are perfect for celebrations. Japanese artist, Masayoshi Matsumoto, creates the most colourful balloon sculptures celebrating nature including birds, plants, insects and wildlife animals that blow us away! Simply wonderful!

Besides animals, Masayoshi Matsumoto also makes animal skeletons out of balloons.

Coffee provides a warm hug, especially when they are held in coffee cups that are illustrated with such bright and warm colours and patterns. More fab coffee cups can be found on Instagram via Coffee Cups of the World

London Underground Patterns

designI AM AComment

With our frequent commute on the London Underground, with the hustle and bustle we sometimes forget to take stock of the beautiful patterns and illustrations that could be found decorating the walls of the London tube stations. Thank you to instagram account Tube Patterns that have documented the graphical commute.

The below set of tile graphics include patterns from stations including Paddington, Tottenham Court Road, Euston Station, Highbury and Islington and Oxford Circus. Choo choo!

Cardboard British Biscuits

Biscuits are always on our minds, especially during elevenses, when biscuits are dunked in a hot drink. Mark O'Brien a cardboard craftsman based in Manchester crafts amazing objects out of cardboard as props for theatres, shop displays etc. The objects he has created included shoes, robots, post boxes. Our favourite, however, are definitely these signature British biscuits including Custard Cream, Pink Wafer, Digestive, Party Ring, Bourbon cream - not dunkable but definitely adorable.

All Day Breakfast

design, yumI AM AComment

Lazy Autumn Sunday has us craving for warm cooked brunch. We love discovering brunch places on a weekend enjoying breakfast and reading the papers. This brings us back fond memories in Tokyo πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ when we head to β€œWorld Breakfast All Day” in Shibuya, Tokyo not far from Omotesandō, 葨参道.

This little cute spot not only is the decor delectable. The shelfie, displays of packaging, menu and graphics are fun, eclectic, full of retro vibes and nostalgias; featuring breakfasts from different parts of the world. It’s a feast for the belly and eyes. We always have a soft spot for a fryup, the smell of bacon and eggs.

We think the term β€œAll Day Breakfast” is greatly apt as we can really have breakfast food all day! πŸ˜‹πŸ³πŸ₯“πŸžβ˜•οΈ.

PS. If you are a paper crafts lover, they have published a book on origami breakfasts too πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ“”βœ‚οΈ
