• Designer's Random Fact: Our pencil sharpeners are made by a family business that spans over 3 generations in Japan. Yup! More than 80 years of pencil sharpening wisdom and expertise. We've even visited the factory to experience this art form of pencil sharpener making. Each step of the pencil sharpener manufacturing happens in house with lots of care and love. Each sharpener is a labour of love to provide the best and cleanest pencil shave for our pencils. It takes more than 20 processes to make each sharpener. The processes include 
  • curing of Japanese stainless steel for blade making
  • hand testing of every single sharpener blade to ensure the sharpness, and precision of blade angles
  • quality control by hand to make sure the blades are securely fastened to each sharpener
